As I take a moment to reflect on the last six months, I feel a wave of gratitude for the incredible experiences shared by our travelers. Each adventure, each review, and every piece of feedback reveals a unique story that highlights the purpose of our work. “ Overall, it was an excellent experience.”
This was the first time we had ever worked with Splendid Portugal, so I was a little bit doubtful that everything would go smoothly, but as it turned out, I had nothing to worry about. The trip planner put together a perfect itinerary that balanced interesting activities with relaxing downtime. They set up a couple of boat tours that we loved, organized drivers to make getting around easy, organized private walking tours with excellent guides who knew about the history and culture of the area, chose excellent hotels that met our particular needs, and, most importantly, stayed in close touch with us throughout the trip to troubleshoot any small problems that arose. It allowed for flexibility on the ground.
“Thoughtfully Bespoke Portugal Adventure”
I almost never write reviews, but Splendid Portugal is worth writing about. I was attending a conference in Lisbon, and I was bringing my mother with me. We needed an itinerary that would keep her occupied but not exhausted while I was at the conference, as well as an itinerary for travelling together afterwards. Nuno and the team asked us what we were looking for and crafted a superb itinerary for us. My mom loved all the tour guides she met on her solo trips, and she had such interesting experiences! She says she learned about things she would never think twice about before, like street artist culture and their art. We had great food and lovely cultural moments and saw so many parts of Portugal. Most importantly, Splendid Portugal knows the place - they are good people and they work with good people. Because of that, we felt cared about and cared for over the whole journey, from landing to leaving. They really nailed it! Ana, Fredy, Diogo, Nuno, Marie, and everyone - thank you for showing us your beautiful country! Now I just want to come back with the whole family!
“The Portuguese adventure exceeded our expectations!”
Splendid Portugal gave us the most incredible experience we could have hoped for! During our 12-night trip we got to know the country by exploring beautiful cities and countryside, visiting cultural and historical sites, and enjoying so much local food and wine! We found the Portuguese people to be kind, welcoming and proud of their home.
Special thanks to César and Gabriela who put together our excellent itinerary, handled every detail (and more!), and kept in touch daily to ensure that everything was going smoothly.
